Chapter 100: The Arrival of Great Perfection

Thirty years had passed in the blink of an eye. Klein had been emperor for over three decades. Although he still appeared to be in his twenties or thirties, in reality, he was already in his fifties. His long reign, coupled with his entrance into the Sacred Realm, had endowed Klein with even greater authority and a commanding presence; a mere glance from him could cause his civil and military ministers to tremble with fear.
Some of the high-ranking officials of the Hevis Empire understood that the royal bloodline was noble, and every royal descendant could easily enter the Sacred Realm by virtue of their bloodline power. However, precisely because the bloodline was so exalted, royal heirs were few and far between.
Take Klein, for example. He had been married for over thirty years and had many consorts after becoming emperor. Yet, only one consort bore him a pair of twin daughters. Even the noble empress, who came from a prestigious family, had failed to give Klein a single son or daughter. To this day, the Hevis Empire remained as it had been during the early reign of its founding emperor, Hevis—the throne had yet to see the birth of a prince capable of inheriting it.
This was a source of frustration and helplessness for Klein. He longed to abdicate early and devote himself to cultivation, hoping eventually to ascend to godhood. But without a son to succeed him, he had no choice but to continue as His Majesty the Emperor.
Fortunately, the two princesses were not only intelligent and beautiful but also exceptionally gifted, each endowed with remarkable talents in water and fire magic respectively. Now nearing thirty, both princesses were dual-trained in magic and martial arts. Under normal circumstances, they were ninth-level warriors; once transformed into Dragon-blooded warriors, they could ascend to the Sacred Realm. Moreover, both had recently advanced to the eighth-level mage rank. Even without their warrior talents, their magical gifts alone were rare enough that few in the empire could rival them within a century.
Countless young talents within the empire desired to marry the princesses, and every noble family sought to have a princess join their house. This was not only because of the princesses' status and extraordinary talents but also due to their royal bloodline. Marrying into the royal family would strengthen a clan’s heritage and deepen their ties with the throne.
Yet, given their noble upbringing, the princesses had grown to understand the depth of the royal family’s foundation and held lofty standards. They looked down on ordinary scions of the powerful as beneath their notice.
Within the imperial palace, in the castle housing Qian Kun and Gaia, beside a small pond on the grass, two women sat cross-legged side by side. One was dressed in a dark blue silk gown, with long dark green hair cascading over her shoulders—a cool and serene figure. The other wore a fiery red silk gown and had long dark red hair, radiating a striking allure. Facing them sat Qian Kun, clad in a loose black robe, his long black hair unbound.
“Ice Elise, Yanna, you two sisters shouldn’t be so picky,” Qian Kun advised with a hint of helplessness. “Marriage doesn’t necessarily require a peerless genius or someone outstanding in every way. The key is to marry someone who treats you well and whom you like.” He had come to understand the thoughts of the elders—watching the younger generation grow up, they naturally worried about their marriage prospects.
Yanna, in the fiery red gown, smiled and said, “Great-grandfather, the problem is that my sister and I haven’t found anyone we like yet. Why rush to marry off ourselves?”
“I want to dedicate myself to cultivation and become a Sacred Realm mage as soon as possible,” Ice Elise responded calmly, her words reflecting her steadfast commitment to cultivation.
Listening to the sisters, Qian Kun smiled wryly in resignation and shook his head slightly. Suddenly, he seemed to sense something, turning abruptly to gaze toward the western horizon, his eyes narrowing slightly. “The Fire-element Great Perfected, Bamer? Finally arrived. The real show is about to begin!”

“Great-grandfather, what’s coming? What show is about to start?” Yanna asked, puzzled.
“It’s nothing. Some things aren’t worth telling you,” Qian Kun replied indifferently. “Alright, you two should head back now. I have some matters to attend to. I’ll guide your magical training next time.”
Just as the sisters left, Gaia emerged hurriedly from her chamber. “Qian Kun, my divine projection just received news from Big Brother. Many archgods have learned about the Red Lotus Crystal. They’re likely to send a team led by a Great Perfected Supreme God to the Okarin Plane.”
“I know. The Fire-element Great Perfected Bamer has arrived, and the Death-element Great Perfected Dennington is also here,” Qian Kun responded calmly.
“Surely more than one Great Perfected has come this time. Aren’t you at all worried?” Gaia frowned, growing anxious.
Qian Kun’s lips curved slightly, a cold glint flashing in his eyes. “The Red Lotus Crystal is no longer in my hands. I placed it where it rightfully belongs. I don’t want to get involved in the struggle over the crystal. If Bamer and the others want to cause trouble for me, I won’t hesitate to kill one or two Great Perfecteds to show them I’m not to be trifled with.”
“K-Kill one or two Great Perfecteds?” Although Gaia believed Qian Kun had the power to slay such mighty beings, hearing him speak so casually about killing archgods left her wide-eyed, unsure how to respond.
Qian Kun shrugged nonchalantly. “Let’s just pretend Bamer and the others never came. We’ll continue living peacefully and ignore everything. Let’s see if they dare come looking for trouble. I’ll recall the youngsters and keep them safe in Hevis City.”
“Alright then,” Gaia nodded reluctantly. It seemed there was no better course of action.
Meanwhile, on the Okarin Plane, the Fire-element Great Perfected Bamer’s consciousness surged like a tidal wave, sweeping across the entire plane. “Hmm? Over a dozen mid-level gods, with eleven clustered in a single city. Huh, that’s... Gaia, the chief elder of the Azure Dragon clan of the Four Divine Beasts family? And there seem to be many descendants of the Four Divine Beasts family in that city. How could they be on the Okarin Plane? Could it be... they arrived before me? Wait, why did Gaia only bring lower and mid-level gods, but no high-level gods?”
Strangely, Bamer discovered Gaia and those backing Qian Kun and Hevis but could not detect Qian Kun himself.
Frowning in confusion, Bamer noticed another teleportation array light up. Without further thought, he abducted the plane’s guardian and left Weisle Mountain with a formidable retinue of high-level gods.

“Hm? Gaia?” Shortly after arriving on the Okarin Plane, Dennington also saw Gaia and furrowed his brows in surprise.
Within a short time, several Great Perfected beings arrived, each accompanied by numerous high-level god subordinates. Their presence was blatant, causing the Sacred Realm and god-tier warriors of the Okarin Plane to tremble in fear. They understood that the gods had descended and that great events were imminent.
Not long after, Lin Lei arrived at the Okarin Plane with Beibei. After finding Gaia, they proceeded directly to the Hevis Empire.
In the grand hall of the castle where Qian Kun and Gaia resided within Hevis City’s imperial palace, Qian Kun, Gaia, Lin Lei, and Beibei took their seats as hosts and guests.
“Brother Qian Kun, your skill at concealing your aura is truly impressive. My divine sense search couldn’t detect you at all,” Lin Lei said with admiration. Although he had grown much stronger over the past thousand years, he still felt Qian Kun was unfathomable. If they fought, Lin Lei was unsure he could win.
Beibei grinned broadly. “Wonderful! Brother Qian Kun is here too, so our chances of obtaining the Red Lotus Crystal are even greater.”
“If you want the Red Lotus Crystal, go take it yourselves. I won’t help you seize it,” Qian Kun said, shaking his head calmly.
Beibei’s smile faltered, and Lin Lei frowned, looking at Qian Kun. “Brother Qian Kun, aren’t you going to intervene?”
“Many of my juniors are on the Okarin Plane. I must consider their safety. To make an enemy of so many Great Perfecteds and high-level gods for a single Red Lotus Crystal isn’t worth it,” Qian Kun explained.
Lin Lei seemed to understand and then nodded, standing up. “Very well. In that case, I won’t trouble Brother Qian Kun.”
