Everything unfolded just as Zhao Jie had anticipated. SkullGreymon advanced rapidly in the direction of the canyon.

The powerful aura of destruction dispersed the surrounding Digimon, and it soon appeared on the opposite side of the canyon.

"Right on the other side of the canyon."

Upon arriving, SkullGreymon halted its advance, the black and white flames within its eye sockets flickering.

Agumon gazed across the canyon, knowing that its companion was waiting on the other side.

"Should we turn back?"

BlackAgumon's voice resounded once more.

"Let's go!"

In complete agreement, the two began to slowly back away.

"Hey, what do you two think you're doing?"

Observing their movements, Angewomon, who had been waiting here with her aura concealed, knew she could wait no longer. Flapping the wings on her back, her entire figure materialized directly before SkullGreymon.

"Angewomon?"

"Run!"

The moment Angewomon appeared, SkullGreymon sensed her presence. Its entire body surged with explosive speed, charging toward the flank.

"Wait, we have a way to help you!"

Angewomon rubbed the bridge of her nose, her wings beating as she broke into a sprint to keep pace with SkullGreymon.

SkullGreymon ground to a halt, its ivory-white skull turning to look up at Angewomon in the sky.

"How can you help us?"

The soul vibrations of Agumon and BlackAgumon rang out.

Angewomon descended to the ground. The aura radiating from SkullGreymon made her feel quite uncomfortable, but she had no time to mind that now.

"What are you two idiots thinking, running away like that? Whatever trouble you're in, we can figure it out together. What is the meaning of acting like this?"

"Did you really think you were being heroes?"

Upon landing, Angewomon immediately began lecturing Agumon and BlackAgumon without pause.

"Solar Stones! As long as we have a large quantity of Solar Stones, we can force this Code Corruption back out! That way, you'll be saved!"

Quickly laying out his plan, Zhao Jie collapsed onto the ground, panting heavily.
