The Lion Digimon froze for a moment; it truly hadn’t expected any other Digimon to stand up for this Agumon. Yet, once it recovered, it still refused to take the Dorumon before it seriously.

There is a difference even between Digimon at the same stage of maturity.

Besides, it was used to being arrogant and dominant. There were plenty of Digimon it had made apologize, but the Dorumon standing here wasn’t one of them.

“Little guy, before you step in for others, I advise you to weigh your own strength carefully, or you’ll end up having a really bad time. Trust me, I’m not lying!”

As the Lion Digimon spoke, one hand reached for the demon blade at its waist, the threat unmistakable.

The surrounding Digimon and some DigiDestined stood dumbfounded, watching the scene unfold.

“That’s Du Zhongping’s Lion Digimon, right?”

“Who else could it be besides him?”

“Who do the Agumon and Dorumon belong to? Someone should stop this quickly.”

“It’s too late now. You all know this Lion Digimon’s temper.”

“Ugh, what bad luck.”

“Heh, that’s because he has a good older brother, but wait until next year, Du Zhongping won’t be able to act so arrogantly.”

The Lion Digimon glared fiercely at the Dorumon and Agumon; even the staff member in charge of serving meals remained silent, waiting for the matter to end.

“Apologize to me right now, and then both of you get to the very back of the line. I’ll pretend this never happened.”

What?

They cut in line and knocked down the Agumon, and now they’re supposed to apologize?

Hearing this, the Dorumon could no longer hold back.

In a flash, it appeared right before the Lion Digimon, its claws glowing brightly—the Cat’s Fist technique!

“Hmph!”

The Lion Digimon snorted in disdain, drawing the demon blade from its waist with a swift motion. The gleaming blade slashed toward the Dorumon without a hint of hesitation.

Clang!

The Dorumon’s sharp claws clashed against the blade, producing metallic vibrations that echoed around.

“Not bad!”

The Lion Digimon was momentarily stunned that its strike had been blocked; the next instant, it sneered and swung the blade again at the Dorumon.

Swish!

The blade cut through the air with lightning speed.

“This is bad, looks like someone’s going to need the school nurse.”

Some onlookers shook their heads. Though not particularly fond of Du Zhongping and his Lion Digimon, they had to admit this Lion Digimon was very powerful.

“Small Flame!”

Naturally, the Agumon would not stand idly by while the Dorumon fought alone. Bright orange flames shot from its mouth toward the Lion Digimon.

“Pfft!”

The Lion Digimon swung its blade backhandedly, slicing the flames apart. Its fierce gaze then turned to the Agumon.

“Hey, hey, two against one isn’t fair. Can someone help quiet this Agumon down?”

A pale-faced young man, his face long and horse-like with a sharp expression, spoke up.

“Du-ge, I got this. Gabumon, go stop that Agumon from bothering Lion Digimon big bro while he teaches that Dorumon a lesson.”

A man flanking Du Zhongping said obsequiously.

He then commanded his Digimon to step forward and block the Agumon.

“Hey, what’s going on here?”

Zhao Jie, returning with his meal, was stunned by the scene.

Why did this escalate into a fight?

“What else? Bullying!”

The man who patted Zhao Jie’s shoulder glanced at him and whispered.

Bullying?

Agumon and Dorumon would bully others?

“Who’s bullying whom?”

Zhao Jie looked at the Agumon and Dorumon, frowning.

“New here?”

“Yes, newcomer just joined today.”

“No wonder. Remember that Lion Digimon and the guy with the horse face. Avoid them if you see them—nothing good will come of it.”

The older fellow whispered a warning to Zhao Jie.

“I don’t even know who owns that Agumon and Dorumon. Neither has shown up—it’s a bit irresponsible.”

“Um, the irresponsible one you’re talking about is me! Could you watch my food for a bit?”

Zhao Jie set his meal on a nearby table and walked toward the edge of the skirmish.

“Agumon, no holding back. Teach them a lesson!”

With Zhao Jie’s words, many eyes turned toward him.

“Hah, anyone can talk big. What a joke.”

Hearing this, the Gabumon owner beside Du Zhongping scoffed.

But no sooner had he finished speaking than he saw his Gabumon take a punch to the stomach from the Agumon, staggering backward.

“Small Flame!”

Zhao Jie’s voice rang out again. The Agumon, who had been holding back, shot out a spray of orange flames from its mouth.

Bang!

The blast sent Gabumon flying.

Crack!

The impact hurled Gabumon five or six meters before it crashed to the ground with a heavy thud.

“Uh...”

The onlookers, once dismissive, were stunned by the ease with which the Agumon had defeated its opponent.

So the Agumon had never been going all out before?

“Gabumon!”

The once-smug Gabumon owner shouted and rushed to his Digimon’s side.

Gabumon was now covered in black soot, the smell of burnt flesh lingering.

“You’re way out of line. This was just a friendly spar, and you let that Agumon hit so hard!”

The man stood and yelled at Zhao Jie.

“Shut up!”

Zhao Jie looked down on the man, not bothering to respond.

“What happened?”

Zhao Jie asked the Agumon in front of him.

“We were lining up, and it cut in front of us. I told it not to cut, but it pushed me down. Then the Dorumon asked it to apologize, but it refused and demanded we apologize to it. That’s when the fight broke out.”

The Agumon scratched its head with its left hand and pointed with its right at the Lion Digimon still tangled with the Dorumon.

I see.

Zhao Jie understood—it was just as he had heard.

“Lion Digimon, come back.”

Du Zhongping cleared his throat and called the Lion Digimon, then looked toward Zhao Jie.

“Hey, it’s just cutting in line. Don’t be so petty.”

“Also, your Agumon just now hit pretty hard. I think you owe some medical expenses, don’t you agree?”

Upon hearing Du Zhongping’s words, the Gabumon owner, still shaken by Zhao Jie, began to shout.

“Yes, yes, compensation for medical fees. Gabumon got knocked out cold by that Agumon.”
