Chapter 41: The Frost Archer’s Frozen Domain, Cai Wen’s One-Man Stand Against a Thousand Armies! (Please keep reading)
As the tombstones were swallowed, the eerie forces began to counterattack. It seemed that with their lair being consumed, the eerie entities grew even more ferocious. This appeared to be their final assault.
Baigan generously bestowed sunlight upon the Ice Archers, recharging their energy to unleash their ultimate moves.
Suddenly, the four Ice Archers were enveloped in a layer of frost, the surrounding air growing colder and colder… Their energy steadily surged, preparing to release their powerful attacks once fully charged.
The eerie beings sensed the terrifying icy power emanating from the nuts and concentrated their forces, desperately rushing toward the Ice Archers.
Some eerie creatures began to drip blood as they unleashed their sinister energy without reservation. Empowered by this dark force, many of them leapt into the air, their gaping maws aimed directly at the Ice Archers perched atop the nuts.
At this moment, the Ice Archers had not yet fully charged their ultimate moves, making it their most vulnerable time.
The eerie creatures seized this opportunity, revealing cruel smiles.
Suddenly, a nimble figure leapt into the air. Like a kung fu master, it threw a flurry of punches within a second.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The punches moved so fast they left afterimages. The eerie beings, caught off guard, were struck down one by one.
Boom!
The eerie creatures in the air crashed to the ground, creating a large crater.
After knocking them down, the figure gracefully landed back on the nut.
The eerie beings widened their eyes in disbelief.
There stood a cabbage, wearing a look of disdain.
What were they seeing? A kung fu cabbage?
Even within the profound tradition of Chinese martial arts, it was hard to believe a cabbage had become so skilled. This was truly bizarre!
Baigan smiled as he watched the kung fu cabbage, known as Caí Wèn, make its entrance.
This was one of his favorite plants when playing Plants vs. Zombies—its rapid punches per second made combat truly exhilarating!
Meanwhile, the eerie creatures pressed their assault on the Ice Archers. Baigan did not hesitate to pour all the sunlight into Caí Wèn.
First stage, second stage, third stage!
Caí Wèn’s momentum visibly surged.
With a swift movement, Caí Wèn shot into the sky and immediately unleashed its maximum power.
Bang! Bang!
At third stage, its punching speed was astonishing.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Some eerie creatures, just ascending into the air, barely registered the sudden onslaught—feeling a buzz in their heads before being struck three times in quick succession and slammed into the ground.
Wailing sounds echoed as a figure clad in a burial shroud soared into the air.
It was clearly different from the other eerie beings, exuding a colder, more sinister aura.
Its black burial garment radiated an ominous presence.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Caí Wèn’s punches struck the burial-shroud being but were all blocked by the garment.
Seeing this, the burial-shroud entity revealed a cruel smile.
Its shroud was a terrifying artifact, unlike ordinary eerie creatures.
With a horrifying wail, the burial-shroud eerie surged forward, intent on teaching the cabbage a lesson.
But as it neared Caí Wèn, something felt off.
Caí Wèn adopted an upward guard stance, then with a massive surge of energy, delivered a terrifying blow.
The burial-shroud creature tried to dodge but was too slow.
A fearsome uppercut crashed into its chin.
Crack!
The sound of cracking bones rang out.
This was Caí Wèn’s special ability: an uppercut several times more powerful than a normal punch.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Using the uppercut to break defense followed by a rapid barrage of punches, the burial-shroud eerie was knocked down like the others.
Swish!
Though strong, the burial-shroud entity recovered quickly and rose to its feet.
The eerie forces finally erupted with rage, their sinister energy flaring. Led by the burial-shroud being, they surged into the sky, a dreadful curse blossoming among them.
This time, they were determined to take down the lone cabbage!
Facing the fierce onslaught, Caí Wèn remained unafraid.
Leaping down from the nut, its small frame boldly confronted the numerous eerie beings, displaying solitary bravery and unwavering resolve.
Whoosh!
Sunlight gathered on its body, triggering its ultimate move.
Its already rapid punches accelerated severalfold.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
Five punches per second, ten punches… growing even faster!
The flickering shadows of its fists formed a domain of strikes.
Caí Wèn spun like a top, knocking every eerie being it touched out of the sky.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Its fist speed was so fast that everything around seemed frozen; its fury unleashed midair.
Bang!
Wherever an eerie had come from, it was sent back.
Watching Caí Wèn standing alone in the sky, holding the fortress, Sun Qian and the others were utterly stunned.
Amazing! Incredible!
Master Cai is extraordinary!
Baigan’s blood boiled with excitement.
As Caí Wèn’s ultimate ended, its movements slowed, no longer able to withstand the eerie assault.
But the four Ice Archers were now fully prepared.
An icy blue chill erupted from their bodies.
Boom!
The four united, countless ice spheres scattered across the sky like a dozen machine guns firing relentlessly.
Wherever they passed, icy trails spread, freezing everything in their path.
Crack!
All eerie beings caught within these icy paths were frozen in place.
The barrage of ice spheres struck every eerie creature.
The entire eerie horde seemed trapped in a frozen world.
This was the Ice Archers’ ultimate: a massive volley of ice spheres combined with piercing icy roads that froze and slowed all creatures touched.
With this, the eerie assault was completely halted.
Even Baigan inhaled sharply at the sight of the frozen battlefield.
Incredible.
With just four Ice Archers and one Caí Wèn, they had held back such a massive eerie horde.
As the plants gained the upper hand, Baigan finally relaxed.
Suddenly, Su Yueling, who had quietly approached Baigan, asked, “Do you want me to help with something?”
I'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
