Chen Junshan frowned upon hearing this. In modern society, many people suffer from impatience; they haven't even learned the basics yet, but they rush to learn this and that, aiming unrealistically high without considering whether they are suited for it or capable of achieving it. What he hated most was such people.
These types might be nothing themselves, but when they talk about money, it’s always in billions; when they mention cars, it’s Rolls-Royce or Lamborghini as the baseline. If you tell them about something modest, they might even think it’s low-class. Yet, when you ask what car they drive, they say it’s an electric scooter.
People like that were honestly not worth his time. If this were back when he was on the boxing team, Chen Junshan would have snapped back immediately. But the person before him was a friend of the boss; it wouldn’t do to offend him, so he could only bear his impatience and explain carefully. Fearing he might choose the wrong words and cause offense, he changed his approach and said:
“Brother, Tyson’s combination punches are indeed very impressive. There’s even a term for it—‘violent aesthetics.’ I liked it a lot when I practiced boxing and have trained in it myself. But that combination punch isn’t practical for you guys!”
Chen Junshan’s words surprised not only Hua Twelve but also the trainee practicing nearby. Both found it unbelievable—how could the boxing champion Tyson’s combination punches be impractical? Surely, the coach must be a fool.
The trainee stopped hitting the punching bag, wiped the sweat from his face, and came over to hear the coach’s explanation.
Chen Junshan didn’t mind and directly demonstrated: jab, hook—clean and sharp, a powerful combination punch performed effortlessly, with footwork and body movement swinging and twisting exactly like Tyson’s style.
Hua Twelve and the trainee couldn’t help but applaud enthusiastically for Chen Junshan.
The trainee asked, “Coach, this combination punch looks so fierce. I’ve seen Tyson KO his opponents with it. Why do you say it’s not practical?”
Chen Junshan smiled. “I’m just saying it’s not practical for you. As you said, that’s Tyson. His heavy punches often break through the opponent’s defense directly to achieve a knockout. Do you have that kind of power?”
“Not just you guys, even we professional boxers rarely practice Tyson’s combination punches because if you can’t break through the opponent’s defense, it’s just a waste of energy.”
“Floyd Mayweather’s combination punches are more widely accepted because they earn more points.”
The trainee nodded repeatedly in agreement, but Hua Twelve felt even more convinced that Tyson’s fierce combination suited him better.

It should be known that Shaquille O’Neal’s strength far surpasses Tyson’s, as seen in their bench press records: Shaq’s is 198 kilograms, Tyson’s is 132 kilograms.
If O’Neal learned the punching techniques properly, there’s no doubt the power in his punches would be greater than Tyson’s.
Of course, this is purely about raw strength. If a basketball player were to fight a boxing champion, it’s obvious the basketball player would fall—unless Shaq pinned Tyson down and overwhelmed him with his weight.
Chen Junshan then said to the two, “You’re beginners, so you should start with the basics. Once you master footwork, dodging, jabs, and swings, and practice regularly, you’ll strengthen your body and gain some self-defense skills. After you’ve mastered these, we can move on to more technical stuff—step by step!”
The trainee nodded. “Coach, you’re right. I’ll focus on my bag work.”
Hua Twelve smiled and said, “Coach Chen, I just like Tyson’s combination punches. If you don’t mind, please teach me. I’m not planning to compete or fight anyone; it’s purely personal preference.”
Hearing this, Chen Junshan had nothing more to say. Since it was just a matter of preference, he nodded.
“Alright, I practiced this before. If you want to learn, I’ll teach you.”
He immediately broke down Tyson’s combination punches step by step: jab, jab, left hook, straight hook, uppercut, along with footwork.
Tyson’s combination punches are widely known, so Chen Junshan had no secrets to hide. He guided Hua Twelve through several repetitions, then let him practice on his own.
Hua Twelve was excited and went to the punching bag to practice. His combination punches soon attracted Chen Junshan and the trainee, who came over to watch.
They saw Hua Twelve striking the bag with loud thuds, making it sway left and right like a lily in the wind. The power didn’t look like that of a beginner—Tyson himself probably never hit that hard.
Both of them simultaneously recalled a scene from the Avengers movie where Captain America, after awakening, trains on the punching bag. Though Hua Twelve wasn’t quite that dramatic, he was far stronger than a normal person.
After practicing for a while, sweat beading on his forehead, Hua Twelve stopped to rest. He noticed Chen Junshan and the trainee watching him with expressions of disbelief.
“What’s up?” Hua Twelve asked with a smile.

The trainee gave a thumbs-up. “Brother, you’ve trained before, right? Your power is almost on par with Coach Chen!”
Chen Junshan hurriedly waved his hand. “No, not at all. I don’t have that kind of strength. If I didn’t know you hadn’t really learned boxing, I’d suspect you were just here to cause trouble!”
Hua Twelve knew he had been too absorbed in his practice before, forgetting to hold back his strength. Jokingly, he said:
“I was born with great strength; that’s my only advantage, and now you’ve found out!”
Chen Junshan suddenly understood why Hua Twelve wanted to learn Tyson’s combination punches.
“With your strength, it’s a perfect match!”
Feeling he had discovered a hidden gem, Chen Junshan called Hua Twelve closer and began teaching again.
Previously, he had only covered the general movements. Now, he shared the experience he had gained during his own training, pointing out details to watch for when punching and, most importantly, how to generate maximum power.
Luckily, the combination consists of only a few key moves; if there had been more, Hua Twelve might not have been able to remember everything.
Hua Twelve cherished this opportunity. The instruction came from a national games champion. While not at the level of world-class professionals, the technical and theoretical knowledge was still top-notch—a true treasure for a beginner.
They trained all morning. By noon, Wang Li and Li Dan came to invite Hua Twelve and Chen Junshan to lunch.
Hua Twelve wanted to get a membership card here, but Wang Li directly handed him a VIP card, saying, “If you pay for it, you’d be slapping your brother in the face.” Hua Twelve had no choice but to drop the idea of paying.
After all, they had already accepted 500,000 yuan from him. Making a fuss over a membership card would seem insincere. He simply thanked them and accepted the card.
