Chapter 51: Total Annihilation

Seeing Yu Canghai respond so straightforwardly, Wang Jingyuan spoke directly, “I heard you know the ‘Heartbreaking Palm.’ Where did you learn it?”
Yu Canghai was momentarily stunned by the question. “This is a secret technique of the Qingcheng Sect, passed down only from our ancestor.”
“Then recite the first two lines of the ‘Heartbreaking Palm’ manual for me.”
“You must swear to heaven to spare my disciples.”
“Fine. I swear to heaven that if you recite the ‘Heartbreaking Palm’ manual correctly, I will spare your disciples and let them leave freely. If I break this oath, may heaven and earth punish me.”
Yu Canghai glanced at Wang Jingyuan, then began to recite. After two lines, based on Wang Jingyuan’s previous experience, this would be the time to start learning the skill.
But even after Yu Canghai recited two more lines, no prompt appeared. Wang Jingyuan knew the situation immediately. “Is it fun to bother memorizing fake manuals?”
“I’m reciting the real thing…” Yu Canghai tried to argue, but Wang Jingyuan raised his hand to interrupt. “Why don’t you think about why I only asked you to recite the first two lines? Perhaps I already know those lines myself, and I just wanted to test your sincerity.”
“Looks like you’re not trustworthy after all. I’m withdrawing the oath I just made…” Wang Jingyuan stood up as if to leave.
“Wait… hold on.” Yu Canghai called out, “I’ll recite… I’ll recite it.”
He began again. This time, after two lines, Wang Jingyuan received a prompt:
[Yu Canghai is teaching you the ‘Heartbreaking Palm.’]
[Learn? Yes/No]
[Yes]
Yu Canghai was heavily wounded, his mind foggy, but he forced himself to focus and recite the manual carefully. Suddenly, a gray shadow flickered by, tearing a large hole in his body.
Yu Canghai could no longer hold on and collapsed onto the bed, looking at Wang Jingyuan with sorrow and anger. “I was reciting the truth?”
“I know, but I suddenly lost interest and don’t want to listen anymore.” With that, Wang Jingyuan approached Yu Canghai.
Yu Canghai knew this man wouldn’t spare him and could only plead softly, “Spare my disciples, spare my child.”

Wang Jingyuan nodded, “Fine. As long as you offer your neck to be struck down, I won’t kill them.”
As Wang Jingyuan approached, he hid his left hand behind his back and began calculating. When he reached the bedside, Yu Canghai struck fiercely as expected. Wang Jingyuan countered through the opening in Yu Canghai’s attack, striking his chest.
Yu Canghai’s hand hung powerless in the air before finally falling weakly.
Wang Jingyuan was about 1.85 meters tall, while Yu Canghai barely exceeded 1.5 meters. With Yu Canghai’s impaired movement, as long as Wang Jingyuan could get through his offense first, his attack would naturally dismantle Yu Canghai’s defense.
After enduring three crossbow bolts and a strike to the chest from the ‘Heartbreaking Palm,’ Yu Canghai’s life flickered like a candle in the wind. “Spare my child…”
Even in his last moment, he thought of his child. Wang Jingyuan sneered, “Did you offer your neck as promised?”

Ignoring Yu Canghai’s unwilling spirit, Wang Jingyuan turned and left his room. All the manuals and medicine gifts from before had been for this moment.
Since the oath was void, the minor disciples of Qingcheng Sect would not be spared either. Fortunately, Yu Canghai had been practicing every day and often fell into a state of demonic frenzy.
Even if there was noise in his room, the sect disciples paid little mind. Wang Jingyuan waited until late at night before making his move.
When dealing with monsters, it’s like picking persimmons: start with the soft ones first, killing the weaker monsters initially. If you start with the strong ones, they’ll hold you back while the weaker ones attack.
So Wang Jingyuan spared the rooms of the four beasts of Qingcheng and first went to the ordinary disciples’ quarters. The ‘Heartbreaking Palm’ was remarkably effective for assassination—no blood splattered everywhere, and a broken heart left the victim powerless to resist or scream.
One after another, Wang Jingyuan struck…

Until Yu Renyan collapsed in a grimace on his bed, the prompt remained +1. It seemed Yu Canghai’s son was nothing special; the proficiency gained was still based on individual strength, with no special status bonus.
In the end, Wang Jingyuan was left only with the four elites of Qingcheng, who were Yu Canghai’s most cherished disciples. When Wang Jingyuan killed Hou Renying, Hong Renxiong, who shared the room, woke up.

However, the Qingcheng disciples lacked the habit of keeping weapons under their pillows. Even though he awoke, Hong Renxiong was no match for Wang Jingyuan, who held a long sword.
Wang Jingyuan immediately employed the “Demonic Sword Technique” for a swift conclusion. Unfortunately, before he could slit his throat, Hong Renxiong let out a cry, waking Yu Renhao and Luo Renjie next door.

Hearing the commotion, Wang Jingyuan crashed into the next room, where the two were reaching for long swords placed on their bundles. Wang Jingyuan flicked his wrist, thrusting his sword straight at Yu Renhao, who barely blocked with his sword and sheath.
Suddenly, the incoming sword vanished. Yu Renhao, eyes wide, watched as Wang Jingyuan’s move changed, and then a handful of lime was thrown at him. Blinded by the lime, Yu Renhao was caught off guard.
Dressed all in black with only his face showing, Wang Jingyuan was immediately recognized. “It’s you! ‘Jade-faced’ Wang Zhuoguang!”
“No! I’m ‘Jade-faced Lime King’ Li Zhuoguang!” Wang Jingyuan shouted, using the lime to blind Yu Renhao, then swiftly ended him with a sword thrust.
With Yu Renhao restrained, Hong Renxiong drew his sword and charged at Wang Jingyuan. Wang Jingyuan swung his sword, creating layers of sword shadows. Hong Renxiong was about to strike when the sword shadows vanished, and a sharp pain shot through his forearm, nearly causing him to drop his sword.
Looking closely, Wang Jingyuan’s sword had disappeared, replaced by a small hammer. He swung it hard, and mid-swing, the small hammer transformed into a large one.
Yu Renhao, still disoriented, tried to brace himself with both hands on the sword, but the anticipated attack never came. Suddenly, the large hammer vanished, and a chill ran down his throat. Turning his head, he saw Wang Jingyuan’s sword had reappeared in his left hand. Touching his neck, he felt only warmth and moisture before dizziness overtook him.

Wang Jingyuan wiped his sword clean on their corpses, then searched their belongings. He acquired several silver notes and a manual for ‘Pine Wind Sword Technique.’ Flipping through it casually, it was mediocre at best—no match for the ‘Huashan Sword Technique.’
Tossing the manual aside, Wang Jingyuan turned to leave. He would not let such trash pollute his skill library.
Next, he approached the shopkeeper’s room door…
