When women are fighting, men should stay out of it.
Su Zhaodi’s expression grew even uglier. "Su Wanwan, if you have the guts, make that dog move aside and see how I deal with you."
"Fine, then. I'd love to see how you plan to deal with me," Su Wanwan said. "Blackie, step aside."
The next second, Blackie trotted off to the side.
Recalling how this person used to beat the original owner relentlessly since childhood, Su Wanwan decided it was time to collect the debt.
She looked at her second brother, gave him a reassuring look, and said, "When women fight, men shouldn't meddle. Just stand aside and watch."
It was as if there was some sort of magic that made Su Heng trust his younger sister implicitly. Ever since her strange dream, she had picked up all sorts of skills.
He simply stood to the side, crossed his arms, and watched.
Su Zhaodi had always loved slapping Su Wanwan across the face since they were kids. Seeing that Su Wanwan now had such thin arms and legs, if she didn't teach her a good lesson, she would have wasted all the flesh on her own body.
Su Wanwan curved the corners of her lips, though her smile didn't reach her eyes. "Don't you want to deal with me? The three of you, step inside the house, and I'll let you do just that."
With that, she walked into the house.
The three sisters exchanged glances, understanding each other instantly.
Su Zhaodi rolled up her sleeves and marched into the house.
Su Pandi copied her eldest sister, rolling up her sleeves as she walked in.
Su Yousdi was wearing short sleeves and couldn't roll them up, so she simply strode inside with an arrogant, stuck-up expression.
The villagers, eager for a good show, hurried forward to peek into the courtyard.
At that moment, the main gate was closed by Su Yousdi.
Watching Su Yousdi shut the door, Su Wanwan thought to herself that this was like beating a dog in a closed courtyard—none of them would be able to escape.
A villager remarked, "My goodness, is the brigade leader's daughter an idiot? With those thin arms and legs, can she possibly win against the three sisters?"
Another villager chimed in, "Exactly. Su Wanwan has been bullied black and blue by those three since she was little. I bet this time will be no different."
A villager urged Su Heng, "Go help your sister already! Are you really going to just stand by and watch her get bullied by those three? She's going to get beaten to death."
Su Heng trusted his sister. Being bullied in the past didn't mean she would be bullied forever. He waved his hand dismissively and said, "Scatter, scatter, nothing to see here."
Casually, his eyes caught Lin Yu and Xie Beishen, who were already peering over the mud wall into the courtyard. He quickly ran over, clambered up, and joined them in peeking over the top.
Lin Yu muttered under his breath, "You're something else, just watching your sister get beat up like that."
Su Heng retorted, "Didn't you hear her say that when women fight, men shouldn't meddle?"
Xie Beishen was holding three small stones in his hand. If that woman really ended up getting overpowered, he would step in and help her.
He certainly wasn't going to let those three women bully her.
As soon as Yang Zhaodi entered the courtyard, she spotted a pile of items in the corner. Weren't those their family's belongings, piled up like a heap of junk?
Furious, she pointed at the pile on the ground and yelled, "Look at that! A regular thief! Just you wait, Su Wanwan, I'm going to beat you to death."
She rushed forward, standing right in front of Su Wanwan, and raised her hand to slap her across the face.
The next second, Su Wanwan threw a punch straight to her face.
Though the movement was simple, it was packed with immense force, instantly sending Yang Zhaodi crashing to the ground.
She let out a muffled groan.
Clutching her struck cheek, Yang Zhaodi spat onto the ground.
A tooth mixed with blood landed on the dirt.
Seeing this, Su Wanwan curled the corners of her lips. The spiritual spring water hadn't been drunk in vain; her strength was no longer what it used to be.
The eyes of everyone peering from the wall widened in shock.
Seeing this, Su Pandi pivoted, covering the distance in two or three strides, and grabbed Su Wanwan from behind, pinning both of her arms tightly within her elbows.
Su Pandi shouted at the top of her lungs, "Sisters, hurry up! I've got her pinned!"
On the ground, eldest sister Su Zhaodi endured the pain and scrambled back to her feet, roaring, "She knocked out my tooth! I'm going to kill you, you little bitch!" With that, she charged at Su Wanwan.
Su Wanwan's lips curved slightly, a cold gleam flashing in her eyes. She slammed the sharp tips of her elbows backward into the ribs and abdomen of the person holding her.
Su Pandi instantly let out a muffled groan and collapsed to the ground, unable to get back up.
With another swift pivot and a roundhouse kick, Su Wanwan sent Su Pandi sprawling even further away.
Watching the miserable state of her two older sisters, Su Yousdi instinctively backed away.
Su Wanwan cast a cold glance at Su Yousdi, picked up a bamboo pole from the corner—the very one her second brother used for beating down dates—and swung it directly at Su Yousdi.
Cries of agony and desperate pleas for mercy rang out continuously.
The villagers clustered by the gate knew instantly from the shrieks that someone was getting severely beaten.
The spectators perched on the wall stared with wide, unblinking eyes.
Ma Zhiming, who was also hanging over the wall, hadn't expected Su Wanwan to be so fierce. He had been dead set on securing the recommendation slot for returning to the city, but it seemed he would have to find another way now. He couldn't afford to cross paths with Su Wanwan or he wouldn't be able to withstand her fists.
After finishing with Su Yousdi, Su Wanwan turned her bamboo pole back to Su Zhaodi, taking turns on all three sisters.
She was returning every single grievance owed to the original owner, with interest.
The sisters' desperate cries for mercy echoed across the entire courtyard.
Lin Yu let out a sharp hiss and said, "Your sister is truly formidable. This is brutal."
Su Heng refuted, "It's not brutal at all. Those three used to take advantage of being older than me and my sister. When my sister and I were beaten black and blue by them when we were little, *that* was what you call brutal."
"My sister was beaten so badly back then she couldn't get out of bed for a month and almost died. Is this anywhere near as bad as what she suffered?"
Hearing this, Xie Beishen gripped the small stones in his hand even tighter, a strange ache tugging at his heart.
Su Zhaodi wept and screamed, "Just wait until my dad gets back! We'll see how he deals with you!"
Su Wanwan paused her beating. This person actually had the nerve to threaten her.
The corners of her lips curled up slightly. "It seems you still haven't figured out the situation. Your dad was hauled away by the public security bureau days ago. You must know about him embezzling state grain, right? And you lot certainly didn't miss out on the spoils—how else did the three of you get so plump? Here you are, running your mouths in our courtyard when you're about to lose your own skins. You'd better spend your time figuring out what you're going to tell the police."
The three sisters turned as pale as sheets, utterly terrified.
The villagers on the wall gasped in shock. What had they just heard? Su Jianwei embezzled state grain and got arrested by the police?
This was earth-shattering news!
Su Wanwan tossed the bamboo pole onto the ground and looked down at the figures sprawled before her. "Are you leaving, or do you want another round?"
The three sisters scrambled desperately toward the front gate on their hands and knees.
When Su Wanwan looked up at the sea of heads lining the top of the mud wall, she knew the village would have no shortage of gossip material for days to come.
Naturally, she also spotted Xie Beishen staring down at her from the wall.
Unlike the first time he had caught her fighting, her mood right now was completely calm. Why bother pretending to be a gentle lady? Wasn't it better to just be herself?
Besides, this man had nothing to do with her.
She turned and walked into the kitchen.
Xie Beishen gazed at the fierce-looking woman. She was becoming more and more to his liking, and he found himself falling for her deeper by the day. If she went back to the military compound with him in the future, nobody would ever dare bully her.
Since she had provoked him, he certainly wasn't going to let her go. This woman belonged to him, and him alone.
Just as Su Wanwan stepped out of the kitchen and prepared to head back to her room, Xie Beishen called out from atop the wall, "Su Wanwan, I have something to say to you."
Su Wanwan raised her gaze and looked up.
