Blood Sucking
Watching Kong Yu struggling frantically inside the rolling sphere, even though I wished for his death, I could not help but feel a pang of sympathy for him.
Dozens of razor-sharp blades within the sphere instantly sliced open dozens of bloody gashes across his already exposed body. Blood gushed out from these cuts in an almost jet-like manner, staining the inner walls of the sphere.
The agonizing pain inflicted by the blades caused Kong Yu to struggle even more violently, subjecting his already battered body to the torment of a thousand cuts all over again.
Soon, there was hardly an inch of unbroken skin left on him. His entire body was reduced to a bloody mess of flesh and tissue. The endlessly repeating blade wounds sliced his fresh flesh into pieces, which were then rolled and crushed inside the sphere in a never-ending cycle of torment.
Finally, whether Kong Yu had died or had realized that the more he moved, the faster he would be diced, he stopped thrashing.
Yet even as Kong Yu lay motionless, the agony did not fade. The back of his head was brutally impaled on a blade, one of his ears was sliced off until only a bloody stump remained, and the greater part of his torso rested heavily against the blades. It was a truly grotesque and tragic sight.
He began to twitch faintly while blood continued to flow, dyeing the entire sphere crimson.
I truly wonder who invented this contraption, which was genuinely capable of slicing a human being to pieces. They must have been an absolute psychopath.
As I was thinking this, Qing'er suddenly wrapped her arms around my waist from behind, pulled me onto the bed, and whispered into my ear, "Brother Quan, now that I've helped you kill Kong Yu and cleaned up your mess, let's have some passionate fun."
With that, she lunged forward and began kissing my neck.
Although she was beautiful and sexy, I felt no desire whatsoever at that moment; I only found her bizarre and repulsive.
However, I could not let it show. I pondered inwardly why Kong Yu had seemingly returned from the dead, and why Qing'er had hunted him down in such a cruel manner.
My mind raced, and I quickly pieced things together. During the murder game case, Kong Yu must have pulled off a cicada shedding its shell—or even used a body double. No wonder Kong Yu had dared to welcome wolves into his house even when he knew Bai Ye and I were watching him; that Kong Yu might not have been the real Kong Yu at all. After all, as the leader of Dawn, playing such a trick was hardly surprising. Even someone of Fang Lin's rank had doubles.
As for Qing'er cleaning up my mess, she naturally meant killing Kong Yu for me. After all, since Kong Yu was the ultimate target of the murder game case, if Huang Quan had failed to eliminate him completely, the mission of 'destruction' could not be considered fulfilled.
In other words, Qing'er was here to help Huang Quan! Now that the mission was virtually complete and Qing'er had cleaned up after me, she probably intended to take me back to City S.
Therefore, I had to show her my gratitude, so I forced myself to smile at her.
Suddenly, she slid her hand down between my legs, attempting to fondle my groin. It seemed this seductive vixen was determined to drain my vital essence today!
To be honest, normally I would have been aroused by such a sexy siren, and my body would have responded. But ever since witnessing Kong Yu's bloody and grotesque execution, and remembering that Qing'er was such a horrifying psycho, I had lost all appetite.
Thus, regardless of Qing'er grabbing me there, I remained completely limp and unresponsive.
A flash of doubt quickly crossed Qing'er's face as she muttered, "Huh? Brother Quan, are you not working down there?"
I was in no mood to deal with her and simply shoved her away.
Suddenly, Qing'er leaped up from the bed, glared at me with ferocious eyes, and snapped, "You—you're not Brother Quan!"
Hearing this, my heart skipped a beat. I thought to myself that it was over; my cover was blown. I never expected this woman to see through me so quickly!
Yet I was foolish enough not to confess immediately. Instead, I feigned immense anguish and said to her, "Qing'er, stop pestering me. Xiao Xue [the name of the corpse that ate its own hands] just died; I'm not in the mood for this. Don't push me to the point of genuine anger."
Qing'er shot me a suspicious look and said, "So that's how it is. Your heart truly holds only Xiao Xue, not me. By the way, Xiao Xue's parents already know about her death. How do you plan to explain it?"
Maintaining my sorrowful expression, I replied, "The dead cannot be revived. There's nothing to explain."
Before I even finished speaking, Qing'er flicked her right hand, producing a dagger, and lunged at me viciously.
As she stabbed at me, she spat, "Liar, pay with your life! You are not Huang Quan at all! Xiao Xue didn't even have parents. Go to hell! What have you done to my Brother Quan?"
Hearing this, I realized this crafty bitch was remarkably sharp; she had been testing me all along. My cover was now blown wide open. What a disastrous start—I hadn't even cleared the first hurdle!
Yet I was no longer that cowardly loser Chen Mu who only knew how to panic and cower when trouble struck. At the very least, I had gone wild alongside Bai Ye and killed people in Dawn's underground base!
Relying on physical instinct, I dodged to the side while simultaneously kicking my right foot toward Qing'er's wrist, hoping to knock the dagger out of her grasp.
However, Qing'er was clearly professionally trained and reacted with blinding speed. With a flick of her wrist, she changed her strike from a slash to a thrust, fiercely aiming for my ankle.
Although my reflexes far surpassed those of an ordinary person, they were still purely instinctive, and the combat experience in my memories had not yet fully awakened. Thus, I could only reflexively pull my leg back.
Consequently, while I managed to dodge Qing'er's blade, I lost my balance and stumbled to the ground.
Qing'er instantly pressed her attack. Even as I rolled away, she straddled my waist. The next second, the tip of her dagger was pressed against my jaw, terrifying me so much that I froze, daring not to move an inch. I could only plead, "Qing'er, have you lost your mind? I am Huang Quan!"
A chilling glare crossed Qing'er's face as she stared down at me. She was likely hesitating internally, given that I looked identical to Huang Quan.
Yet she quickly sneered, "Don't try to fool me. I know Brother Quan has two identical brothers; you must be one of them, right? Tell me, where is Brother Quan?"
I had no idea how to respond. But this woman was truly ruthless; she brought the blade down without the slightest hesitation.
Even crazier was that her strike aimed unerringly straight for my eye. As I watched the cold gleam of the dagger inch closer to my eyeball, I instinctively closed my eyes.
Ultimately, however, the blade did not pierce my eye. Instead, it struck the floor right beside my head with a sharp, ringing impact.
The next instant, I felt a spray of liquid hit my face—it felt like blood. My eyes snapped wide open.
I saw a throwing dart deeply embedded in Qing'er's wrist, the sharp spike piercing straight into her pulse, causing blood to spurt out.
Shortly after, I caught sight of a white figure rushing swiftly in from the window. It was Bai Ye.
Clearly, Bai Ye had arrived just in time, throwing the dart that struck Qing'er's hand and deflected her trajectory. Otherwise, I would have been the one injured.
Qing'er was no ordinary opponent either. Though wounded, she ignored the injury, leaped up from the ground with a powerful snap, and lunged at Bai Ye.
Bai Ye gracefully swayed to the side, dodging the thrust, and then casually raised his right hand. With a swift grappling maneuver, he seized Qing'er's wrist, pulled her toward him, and shoved her heavily to the floor.
Immediately following this, Bai Ye walked over to the broken, decapitated broom lying on the floor. With a sharp snap, he broke the handle into a short, hollow metal tube roughly the thickness of a thumb.
I had no idea why Bai Ye was fashioning such a weapon. Was he planning to spank Qing'er's backside with it?
Just as I wondered whether Bai Ye possessed such a bizarre sense of humor, Qing'er bounced back up with a swift kip-up.
Refusing to accept defeat, Qing'er charged at Bai Ye once more.
It was then that Bai Ye's ruthless and vicious nature toward enemies was displayed in all its terrifying glory. Raising the short, hollow metal tube in his hand, he drove it straight into Qing'er's throat.
The metal tube pierced fiercely right between the lower right side of her jaw and her neck.
A flash of sheer terror finally crossed Qing'er's eyes, but Bai Ye gave her no quarter—not even allowing her the chance to emit a scream of agony. He surged forward, slipped behind her, and clamped a hand tightly over her mouth.
Simultaneously, Bai Ye drove the metal tube even deeper into the right side of Qing'er's neck. He thrust it in nearly half a meter—straight into her carotid artery!
Sure enough, a horrifying and shocking scene unfolded before my eyes. Blood suddenly gushed out in a torrential flood, overflowing first from the entry point of the metal tube and then erupting directly from the hollow tip itself.
That sight resembled Qing'er being nothing more than a giant coconut, with a straw jammed into her carotid artery to drain her blood.
Meanwhile, Bai Ye firmly clapped his hand over the bleeding opening of the metal tube to prevent the blood from spraying everywhere, and turned to me, saying, "Chen Mu, let her blood consecrate your past and welcome your rebirth. Drink her blood dry."
