Xiang Fang was startled for a moment, then stood up and asked hastily, "What happened? Tell me clearly."

"Hoo... President, we were ambushed! Countless brothers are dead or injured, and some are being driven out of their minds. It’s like they’ve been hit by some illusion art, and the situation is getting completely out of hand. President, you need to get back here right now."

The person on the other end of the line was panting heavily. Xiang Fang hung up immediately, cupped his fists toward my master, and said, "Senior, something urgent has come up at the branch, and I must rush back. Please forgive me for not being able to keep you company with these drinks today. Another day, I will surely host you properly."

Without waiting for Master to reply, Xiang Fang turned and hurried back anxiously. I walked quickly to Master's side, looked at Xiang Fang's receding figure, and asked, "Master, what is going on here?"

Master also watched him leave, shook his head, and said, "I have no idea. I just heard something about an illusion art over the phone. Let him handle his own affairs; we don't have the spare energy to get involved right now."

I nodded. Sister Yu, standing beside us, poured a cup of wine from the flagon, took a sip, and said, "Just what kind of background do you people have? You won't say clearly, and the first thing you did upon arrival was ask about the assassination organization."

Master looked at Sister Yu and smiled faintly. "You will know in due time."

Hearing this, I burst into laughter. Every time Master said those words, I couldn't help but smile. Sister Yu gave Master a sideways glance, and Master continued, "Let's go back and get some sleep. It's getting late. Tomorrow, we are heading to Guotong Building."

"Guotong Building? Master, where is that?"

Master put his hands behind his back and smiled, "The headquarters of the assassination organization."

At this, I was stunned, and so was Sister Yu. Without asking any more questions, I followed Master back to the hotel, while Sister Yu returned to her own home. As for Li Muyang—sigh, using a pig to describe that kid is honestly an insult to pigs. Ever since boarding the plane at three o'clock, apart from eating a bowl of spicy hotpot in the middle, he had spent the entire time sleeping. Master took off his shoes, glanced at Li Muyang, who was fast asleep like a dead pig, shook his head, went to the bathroom to wash up, and collapsed onto the bed. I simply skipped washing up, stripped to the waist, and dove straight under the covers.

The next morning at nine o'clock, I woke up to Master's call. I groggily climbed out of bed just as Li Muyang opened the door and walked in. I saw him carrying breakfast, setting it on the table, turning back to look at me, and saying, "Eat breakfast."

I nodded, gave a huge yawn, washed up, and started biting into a steamed bun while putting on my clothes. Master stood to one side and asked Li Muyang, "Kid, are you coming?"

Li Muyang was startled and asked, "Going where?"

Master glanced out the window and said, "The assassination headquarters."

"Going, going, going! Of course I'm going!"

To my surprise, Li Muyang agreed instantly. I helplessly finished dressing and went out the door with Master and the others. We hailed a taxi and headed straight for Guotong Building. When we arrived, Master stood in the plaza in front of the building and said, "After twists and turns, I've finally found you. Who would have thought the headquarters of an assassination organization would be in such a conspicuous place? I thought it would be much more hidden."

I stood beside Master, looked around, and said, "Indeed."

Li Muyang didn't say anything, and Master nodded. Just as we were about to walk forward, another car pulled up behind us. Ignoring it, we kept walking, but suddenly someone called out to us. Puzzled, I turned around and saw that the newcomer was none other than Sister Yu. Looking at her in surprise, I asked, "Sister Yu, why are you here?"

"What? Am I not allowed to come?" Sister Yu retorted.

I awkwardly shook my head and looked at Master. Unlike his usual frivolous self yesterday, Master wore a completely expressionless face as he said, "This is no place for just anyone to wander into. You should head back immediately."

Sister Yu was taken aback. She glanced sideways at Master and said, "Hmph, I'm not following you guys. Can't I come here just to have some fun?"

Master smiled faintly and said, "Very well, then go play over there. Just don't come near us."

With that, Master put his hands behind his back and walked into the building on his own. Sister Yu blinked, trotted over to my side, and asked, "Hey, Lin Xuan, is your master always like this?"

Confused, I asked, "Like what?"

Sister Yu pointed at Master's retreating figure and said, "Just like that! Yesterday he was all smiles exchanging phone numbers with me, but today he's like a completely different person. As expected, you men are all the same—hypocrites."

I was stunned again and opened my mouth to speak, but Sister Yu suddenly broke into a smile and whispered softly, "Still, men like that are the most responsible."

Perplexed, I looked at her and asked, "What did you say?"

Sister Yu waved her hand and said, "Nothing much. Tell me, are you guys really planning to barge your way up there? Can you actually pull it off? This is the headquarters of an assassination organization, after all. If you can't handle it, I can call in some backup to help out."

I smiled, waved my hand, and said, "No need. My master doesn't even take a third-rate organization like this seriously."

Sister Yu looked at me in astonishment. Suddenly, Li Muyang, standing beside me, nudged my arm. Confused, I turned to look at him, only to hear him whisper, "Hey, where did you meet this beauty? Well, well, you went out picking up girls last night and didn't even bring me along."

Hearing this, I was rendered utterly speechless. I leaned in close to his ear and hissed, "You were sleeping like a dead pig last night, and now you're blaming me?"

Li Muyang gave me a sideways glance. Sister Yu stood nearby, looking at the two of us in puzzlement, and asked, "What are you two whispering about?"

Startled, Li Muyang and I both straightened up and said awkwardly, "Nothing, absolutely nothing."

Sister Yu let out a scoff, ignored us, and walked ahead. Not long after we walked on, I saw another taxi pull up to the plaza, followed by Xiang Fang walking over with a furious expression. Seeing him, Master looked slightly surprised and asked, "Why are you here?"

Xiang Fang stared at the Guotong Building behind Master, gritted his teeth, and said, "I'm here to kill people."

"Kill people? What happened to you? Weren't you perfectly fine yesterday?" Master asked doubtfully.

Xiang Fang reined in his emotions, let out a long breath, and said, "Senior, it's because of what happened last night."

Master paused, recalling the sudden phone call Xiang Fang had received yesterday, and instantly understood. He glanced at the building behind him, patted Xiang Fang's shoulder, and said, "Don't act on impulse. Stay rational."

With his eyes closed, Xiang Fang nodded, still carrying traces of anger. Then, we strode forward together. Our group of three had now grown to five. We walked straight inside, only to be blocked by the security guards at the entrance. "Hey, do you people have business here?" one of them demanded.

Master shot him a sidelong glance without a word and kept walking right past the obstruction. Taken aback, the guard called out to his colleagues, "Hey, hurry over here! Someone is trying to force their way in!"

Hearing the shout, a group of guards rushed over, whipped out the batons from their belts, and yelled, "Hey, hey, hey! What do you think you're doing? Get out of here right now!"

Master was blocked right in the middle of them. Stopping in his tracks, he lowered his head, glanced at them with a faint smile, and unleashed an overwhelmingly powerful aura. The surging pressure forced the group of guards to stumble backward in retreat. Sister Yu and Xiang Fang were both shocked; the force of this aura was immense, carrying a faint sense of suffocation. Originally, Sister Yu had been worried that we were no match for the assassination organization, but after witnessing Master's display, her perspective shifted dramatically. She looked at Master's back with eyes full of adoration and whispered softly, "So cool."

Naturally, Master didn't hear her. After beating back the security guards, he continued walking straight ahead. We encountered blockades all the way through, but Master didn't even have to lift a finger—he simply used his aura to repel everyone who rushed over to intercept us. After a while, I saw a dozen men dressed in black standing right before us.

We had just reached the corridor by the elevator banks. Master glanced at the floor numbers, smiled, and said, "The eighteenth floor. They've finally been lured out."

With that, Master flicked his finger. A flash of azure light materialized, and we hastily covered our eyes. When we opened them again, the dozen-odd men ahead of us were already sprawled on the ground, wailing in agony. We were all struck dumb, utterly shocked beyond words. It was simply too fast—in the blink of an eye, a dozen men had been knocked flat by Master all by himself.
